Bassi Trio
Italian version
Aldo
Bassi, trump
Stefano Nunzi, bass
Alessandro Marzi, drums
In the 50s one of the most important band of "pianoless” was the Pianoless Quartet with thr U.S. trumpeter Chet Baker together with Gerry Mulligan baritone. The absence of piano gave the quartet a new and interesting sound and a greater harmonic freedom. The same idea of freedom for solo influenced Aldo Bassi in creating the trio, which includes a repertoire of original songs and standards arranged in modern way.
